The South Central partnership held their Indoor athletics finals at St Margarets High school on Tuesday 7th February. Five schools had competed fiercely in their own cluster heat to secure their place in the final. The 5 successful schools were St Michael in the Hamlet, Holy Family, Kensington Juniors, Mosspits and Northway.
The scene was set for an exciting afternoon of athletics, kicked off by a thrilling and noisy obstacle race. Throughout the afternoon each and every competitor gave their all in their event whether it was a track or field event to secure vital points for their school.
Despite all the hard work from the competitors, there could only be one winner. The victorious school was St Michael in the Hamlet who won with a total of 200 points. They will now go on to represent the South Central Partnership in the City Wide final.
The smooth running of the afternoon was assisted by the Yr 10 Young Leaders at St Margarets who did a fantastic job in managing field and track events.
