The launch of the South Central SSP Leadership Academy was on Monday 24th January 2011 at Greenbank Sports Centre. There were over 80 students from South Central secondary schools who were new or existing sports volunteers.

Many thanks to Claire Guinan from St Hilda's and Craig Lawrence from St Margaret's who spoke to the group about their experience of leadership & volunteering so far and their hopes for the future.

The leaders received SCSSP t-shirts and learnt how to log on to the new Step into Sport Passport website to log their volunteering hours and receive rewards. They also met with local clubs to find out where they can volunteer in the community.

Thanks to everyone who attended and made the launch a success!!
